Shades are named by level and a letter series: N natural, NN intense natural, XN extra natural, D gold, DS super gold, C ash, A silver, TR titian, R red, RS super red and M mahogany. The N, NN and XN series carry the gray coverage, and NN and XN can be used alone on gray. Processing runs 35 to 45 minutes up to two levels of lift, or 50 minutes with 40 vol for three to four, including the SS Super Lift shades.
