It is ammonia-free, PPD-free and resorcinol-free, and mixes 1:1 only with its own 5 vol 5D Color Gloss Activator. Processing runs from 5 minutes for a flash tone up to 20 minutes for full intensity, on wet or dry hair, with dry hair giving a stronger result. Codes put the depth first, then a primary and a secondary tone digit, and many shades also carry letter names. Clear (/00) is used for extended gloss treatments and for porous or over-processed hair. Typical services are toning, glossing and gray blending.
