Kenra Color Charts

Kenra Professional is an American salon brand based in Indianapolis and part of Henkel. Its color division, Kenra Color, includes Permanent Coloring Creme, a low-ammonia permanent; Demi-Permanent Coloring Creme and the acidic Demi-Permanent Liquid Color; Studio Stylist Express, a 10-minute permanent; Rapid Toners for fast toning at the bowl; and Simply Blonde lighteners. Each line pairs with its own Kenra Color developer or activator, so the volume and ratio change from line to line. The shade code is easy to read: the number is the level, from 1 (black) to 10 (extra light blonde), the first letter is the dominant tone and the second letter is the secondary reflection, so 6RB is a level 6 red with a brown secondary. Shades with N as the first or only letter are calibrated for coverage, and permanent codes ending in a plus sign belong to the higher-pigment Monochrome collection. Stylists know Kenra for this clear system and for short service times.
