Wella Color Charts

Wella Professionals began in Germany in 1880 and is now part of Wella Company, alongside brands such as Nioxin and OPI. Its salon color range includes Koleston Perfect permanent, Koleston Xpress 10-minute permanent, Illumina Color permanent, Pure Perfection ammonia-free permanent, Color Touch ammonia-free demi-permanent, Shinefinity zero lift glaze, Color Fresh semi-permanent and the Blondor lighteners, with Welloxon Perfect as the creme developer for the permanent lines. Wella writes every shade as depth/tone. The number before the slash is the depth, from 2 Darkest Brown to 10 Lightest Blonde, with 12 for Special Blonde, and the digits after it are the major and minor tones, so 9/73 is Very Light Blonde Brown Gold. A doubled depth such as 66/0 marks an intense natural, and a doubled tone such as /44 marks an intensified tone. Stylists know Wella for one of the widest permanent palettes in the salon and for Koleston Perfect, a salon standard for decades.
