Express Tones are ammonia-free demi-permanent toners mixed with 1.5 parts Zero Lift Creme Developer on well towel-dried hair: the blonde shades tone in 5 minutes or less, and the After Dark shades deposit on levels 4 to 6 in 5 to 15 minutes. Platinum Toners are made for lightened level 9 and above, mix 1:1.5 with Zero Lift, and take about 5 minutes to neutralize or up to 10 for fuller deposit. HI LIFTS are permanent, mixing 1:1.5 with 30 or 40 vol to lift virgin level 6 and lighter hair up to four levels in 45 minutes.
