Keune Color Charts
Keune is a family-owned Dutch professional hair company founded in 1922 and sold through salons in North America and around the world. Its color portfolio has four parts: Tinta Color, the permanent line that also holds the Ultimate Cover, Red Infinity and Ultimate Blonde high-lift shades; Semi Color, an ammonia-free demi-permanent line for toning, glazing and gray blending; Color Chameleon, a removable direct dye for fashion shades; and the Ultimate Blonde lighteners. Keune uses a level-and-decimal system. The number before the point is the depth, and each digit after it names a tone: .1 ash, .2 pearl, .3 gold, .4 copper, .5 mahogany, .6 red, .7 violet, .8 mocha and .9 matte. A bare number is a natural, and Mix Colors are written as 0/ followed by a doubled tone digit, such as 0/44 copper. Stylists value Keune for its wide permanent palette, vegan formulas in recycled aluminum tubes, and detailed North American mixing manuals for every line.
