Goldwell Color Charts
Goldwell is a German professional color brand, founded in 1948 and now part of Kao Salon Division. Its US portfolio includes Topchic permanent color, ammonia-free Topchic Zero, Colorance ammonia-free demi-permanent color with its Colorance Gloss Tones and Colorance Cover Plus ranges, and Elumen, an acidic, oxidant-free color made only with direct dyes, joined by the semi-permanent Elumen Play. LightDimensions holds the lighteners, and System supplies developer lotions from 2% to 12%. Topchic and Colorance codes put depth first, from 2 (black) to 10 (extra light blonde), with 11 and 12 for high-lift blondes, followed by tone letters such as N natural, A ash, G gold, K copper, V violet and Pk pink. A tone after the @ sign marks an Elumenated reflect, as in 7OO@GK. Elumen reverses the order, writing tone before depth, as in NN@6. Many codes appear in both Topchic and Colorance, which makes the two charts easy to read side by side.
